Overview

About the Zeekr 007 GT

The Zeekr 007 GT is the long-roof version of the Zeekr 007 sedan, and it is the one Zeekr chose to export: in Europe it is sold as the Zeekr 7GT in Germany, the Netherlands, Belgium, Denmark, Norway and Sweden. That matters for Canada, because it means a Western-spec version already exists, with WLTP figures, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a heat pump and a 1,600 kg towing rating. The entry Core RWD pairs a 75 kWh LFP battery with a 310 kW rear motor: 0-100 km/h in 5.3 seconds and up to 519 km of WLTP range (preliminary, pending final homologation). On its 800 V platform it accepts up to 450 kW DC, and Zeekr targets 10-80% in 13 minutes on a 360 kW charger. Practicality is real: a 456-litre trunk (1,390 L seats folded) plus a 65-litre front trunk. In China, the car was refreshed in April 2026 with a 900 V system. The catch: Zeekr has announced no Canadian model, no date and no price. Zeekr began hiring for Toronto in April 2026, but that is all we know.

Editorial take

Our Verdict

Strengths

  • A Western-spec version already exists: WLTP-rated, CarPlay/Android Auto, 5-star Euro NCAP (2026 protocols)
  • 800 V platform: up to 450 kW DC, 10-80% in 13 min (manufacturer target, 360 kW charger)
  • Wagon practicality: 456 L trunk, 1,390 L seats folded, 65 L frunk, ski hatch, roof rails and 1,600 kg towing
  • Heat pump, heated front and rear seats and heated steering wheel are standard in Europe

Watch Out For

  • Not announced for Canada: no model, date or price — our CAD figure is a conversion of the Chinese price, not a quote
  • The 519 km WLTP figure is preliminary, and LFP batteries lose more range in deep cold
  • Air suspension, the AR head-up display and the 23-speaker audio are reserved for pricier trims or options
  • No Canadian service network yet; parts, warranty and insurance are open questions

Up to $2,000, only if registered by Dec. 31, 2026

China-built EVs are not eligible for the federal rebate (EVAP, up to $5,000 in 2026), which is reserved for vehicles built in Canada or in a country that has a free-trade agreement with Canada. Quebec's Roulez vert pays up to $2,000, with no country-of-origin restriction, but only for a vehicle on the program's eligible list and registered by December 31, 2026, when the program ends. Until the Zeekr 007 GT is on sale in Canada, nothing guarantees it will qualify.

Technology & Features

Charging that keeps up with road trips

All European 7GT trims use an 800 V platform. The LFP Core RWD accepts up to 450 kW DC and Zeekr targets 10-80% in 13 minutes on a 360 kW charger; on AC it takes up to 22 kW. Few Canadian chargers deliver 360 kW today, so real stops will be longer.

A real family wagon

456 litres behind the rear seats (ISO V211), up to 1,390 L folded, a 65 L frunk, a 60/40 rear seat with ski hatch, roof rails rated for 75 kg, a powered tailgate and a 1,600 kg towing capacity.

A cockpit with physical buttons

A 15-inch OLED centre screen and a 13-inch instrument cluster run on a Snapdragon 8295 chip, with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Zeekr also kept physical buttons on the console and the three-spoke steering wheel.

What this means for Canada

Zeekr has not announced the 007 GT, or any model, for Canada. The brand opened seven senior positions in Toronto in April 2026, and Chinese-built EVs can enter under the 49,000-vehicle annual quota, but there is no date, price or trim list. Our CAD figure converts the Chinese starting MSRP (CNY 203,900); it is not a Canadian price. The specs above are the European 7GT's: the Chinese 007 GT was refreshed in April 2026 with a 900 V system and a 103 kWh option, and it carries a roof-mounted LiDAR that the European leaflet does not list. A Canadian version could take either path.

The two columns do not rest on the same footing. The rival is described from its Canadian specification; the Chinese vehicle from the market where it is actually sold today. Any future Canadian version could differ.

Tesla Model 3 Standard Range — These figures describe the Rear-Wheel Drive, the version this page covers; the Premium All-Wheel Drive at $49,990 charges at 11.5 kW AC instead of 7.7 kW. As with the Model Y, Tesla's Canadian pages stay silent on the heat pump, Apple CarPlay, front trunk volume and pack architecture — treat those cells as unknown, not as absent. Charging is NACS with a J1772 adapter included, and wireless charging for two phones at once is standard.

"Not published" means the manufacturer does not document this — not that the vehicle lacks it.
