Overview
About the Zeekr 007
The Zeekr 007 is what happens when Geely — the group behind Volvo and Polestar — decides to build a no-compromise electric sedan. The headline numbers are startling: up to 870 km of CLTC range from a 100 kWh CATL Qilin battery, 475 kW of dual-motor power, 0-100 km/h in 2.84 seconds, and 360 kW ultra-fast charging that adds hundreds of kilometres in about 15 minutes. Even discounting the optimistic Chinese CLTC cycle (expect roughly 600-650 km in mixed Canadian driving), this is genuine long-range territory. Build quality benefits from Volvo-derived engineering standards, and the interior punches far above its estimated $52,000 CAD price. The catch: the 007 is not yet confirmed for Canada, and current tariffs on Chinese-built EVs make its arrival timeline uncertain. For now it is the benchmark to watch — proof of how quickly the Chinese EV industry is closing in on the German flagships.
Editorial take
Our Verdict
Strengths
- Segment-crushing specs: 475 kW, 2.84 s to 100 km/h, 360 kW charging
- Qilin 100 kWh battery — real-world range around 600 km even discounting CLTC
- Volvo-derived engineering standards from the Geely group
Watch Out For
- Not confirmed for Canada — tariffs make the timeline uncertain
- 870 km is CLTC — the Chinese test cycle runs ~25-30% optimistic
- No Canadian service network yet; parts and insurance are open questions

What this means for Canada
The 007 sedan is sold in China only. Zeekr has publicly confirmed it will not take the sedan to Australia, and it is not offered in Europe — those markets get the 007 GT wagon instead, badged Zeekr 7GT. That matters for the LiDAR line above: the Chinese 007 has one, but Zeekr's official European 7GT leaflet lists none. Charging power, front trunk volume and vehicle-to-load output are not published by Zeekr for this car, so we quote none.

Equipment compared
Price and range only tell half the story. Here is the equipment, line by line, against the rival you would actually cross-shop.

The two columns do not rest on the same footing. The rival is described from its Canadian specification; the Chinese vehicle from the market where it is actually sold today. Any future Canadian version could differ.
Tesla Model 3 Standard Range — These figures describe the Rear-Wheel Drive, the version this page covers; the Premium All-Wheel Drive at $49,990 charges at 11.5 kW AC instead of 7.7 kW. As with the Model Y, Tesla's Canadian pages stay silent on the heat pump, Apple CarPlay, front trunk volume and pack architecture — treat those cells as unknown, not as absent. Charging is NACS with a J1772 adapter included, and wireless charging for two phones at once is standard.
"Not published" means the manufacturer does not document this — not that the vehicle lacks it.
