Chinese EVs in Montreal
Montreal is a city of 1.8M in Quebec, Canada. As Chinese electric vehicles prepare to enter the Canadian market,Montreal residents are looking for affordable, long-range EVs. BYD, Zeekr, Chery, NIO, XPeng, and Lotus are among the brands expected to launch in Canada.
Due to the 100% tariff on Chinese-made vehicles, these EVs are not yet officially on sale. However, prices listed represent estimated Canadian MSRP when they become available. In Quebec, buyers will benefit from a $2,000 provincial rebate through the Roulez vert program.
In winter, expect approximately 25% range reduction at -20°C. All Chinese EVs listed use LFP (Lithium Iron Phosphate) or NMC battery chemistry, both proven to perform well in Canadian winters with proper preconditioning.
